Sorry if this seems sudden, or perhaps you might have seen it coming, but I’ve been feeling a bit burnt out on Ajurus Returning lately and need to take a break. What exactly a “break” means remains to be said, but I will post it here as soon as I am sure what I want to do. Take care.
You are not the first webcomic author/artist I know of to take a burnout sabbatical, and I’m sure you won’t be the last. Do what you need to do. I an anyone else reading can wait.

I just want to personally thank you for being a fan of the comic while I was making it. I always loved reading your comments and when I stopped making the comic, I felt like I was letting you down. Remembering this comic to come back a year later shows it must have meant something to you, which deeply touches me.
This past year has been an eventful one for me, which I suppose is an understatement because it’s been an eventful year for everyone. I’ve continued to work on art outside of my comic and am even more confident with my comic style now than I was while I was working on it.
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about another comic idea I’ve been developing for a while now, and really as soon as I can work out a process I’d like to get that started. If I ever do, I’ll make sure to make a journal post about it here, so you can check it out. I don’t know if you’ll like it as much as Ajurus Returning, but we’ll see.
Again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading my comic.
-Tom

So Ajurus will never return? That’s a shame, as you were doing well with the worldbuilding here. I’m just sorry that I was the only one that gave Ajurus a shot. The setting, the story, the art style… pretty much everything was unique about this. Showing sentient non-human characters in a positive light certainly helped too. I like that Sasshan was making the best of his exile and showing that he was not a stereotypical Osroan.
Yeah, 2020 was a bad year for everyone, and it really opened a can of worms on me.
If your new comic ever launches, I will give it a read. Aftereall, Ajurus was a good read. I remain hopeful that the love for Ajurus will return someday and at least give Part 2 proper closure.
Thanks for replying Tom.
