Osroans will/won’t wear shoes for a variety of reasons. In some Osroan cultures, shoes are seen as a symbol of high class and bare feet are a symbol of working class. In other, more traditional Osroan cultures, shoes are seen as a human corruption and shunned.
For Sasshan, Osroans sweat through the pads on their feet, and wearing shoes while doing hard labor can cause overheating and exhaustion so he usually chooses to sail shoeless.

Curious, is there a practical reason as to why Sasshan doesn’t have shoes/boots, or is it just an Osroan thing?
